Ontario University Athletics announced the 2012 OUA Football All-Stars earlier today and the men donning the purple and white were well represented. Western had 13 players selected as All-Stars with five players named First Team All-Stars and eight players named to the Second Team.

Offensively, 1,000-yard rusher Garret Sanvido and right tackle Josh Burley were named to the First Team while inside receiver Brian Marshall, centre Greg Willson and guards Mike Van Praet and Eric Armitage earned Second Team honors. Punter Lirim Hajrullahu nabbed First Team punter in his first season handling the punting duties.

On defence sophomore tackle and Hamilton native Daryl Waud and defensive back Harold Mutobola were named to the First Team. Dylan Ainsworth who had 9.5 sacks, linebacker Pawel Kruba, cornerback Jamie Symianick and safety Mike Spence were all named to the Second Team.
