QUEBEC CITY – The 2017-18 women's volleyball awards were announced on Thursday evening, and for the fourth consecutive year
Kelsey Veltman was among those being honoured.
Veltman was named a Second-Team All-Canadian for the second year in the row, and has previously held spots on the First-Team, and the All-Rookie Team.
This season saw Veltman excel in her role as a veteran with a commanding presence both on and off the court. She established herself as one of the most lethal servers in the league, racking up as many as five aces in a single match. She also showed off her versitility on the court by moving between the middle and left side positions depending on the day's game plan.
By the end of the regular season Veltman had a hitting percentage of .356 after averaging 3.55 kills per set. She was also one of the most dominant blockers in the league, with 36 solo and 43 assisted blocks.
