At Western, we are committed to providing our student-athletes with the tools necessary to achieve excellence in the classroom, in their sport, and in their chosen profession. As a part of this commitment, we are determined to ensure these deserving student-athletes are able to focus on their athletic and academic goals. With your help, we can ensure that today's student-athletes are able to succeed not only today, but also into the future as well.

I feel privileged to lead such an outstanding group of student-athletes, who are driven to achieve in their sport and in their studies. I am also grateful for the role you play in supporting their ongoing success.
 
Last season, the hard work and dedication of our men and women paid off in a big way. At the OUA Championships both teams brought home silver medals and many surpassed their personal bests. At the national championships, our men smashed school records to capture Western’s first CIS gold medal. Our women also made the podium, bringing home the bronze. I was extremely proud of each Mustang for their strong performances and their supportive team spirit.
 
In the coming season, expectations will be high but I am confident we can successfully defend our titles, break more personal bests and continue to raise the profile of Western’s track and field program.

We are honoured to recognize the important role our donors play in helping Western recruit the best and brightest student-athletes to the track & field program. Every contribution will enable the track & field team to remain competitive on a provincial, national and international level. Our dedicated track & field supporters will receive the following:

  • Naming on the Western Mustangs website
  • Invitations to special events
  • Advance notice of important sporting events and standings
  • Correspondence with student-athletes, updates from coaches and other special communications

    Donors of annual gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized through our Leaders’ Circles. Special benefits include invitations to events throughout the year and recognition on Western’s donor board in Alumni Hall.
