Hockey Parking at Western (Thompson Arena)



1. South Valley:
  • Location: off Huron Drive
  • Visitor Parking: Mon - Fri, 4pm - 7am and weekends for $6/coin entry, Pay & Display meters are located near the Services Building for short term visits ($1.50/per half hour, minimum $3.00 credit card)

  • 2. Huron Flats:

  • Location: east of Western Road, near Essex Hall and Thompson Arena
  • Visitor Parking: $5 coin entry - 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week. Flat rate of $6.00 when attended.
  • Weekend Parking: Complimentary ONLY on selected weekends when there are no special events scheduled at TD Waterhouse Stadium OR Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre, otherwise flat rate when attended - coin rate when gate is lowered.

  • 3. Althouse:

  • Location: west side of Western Road, south of Sarnia Road at Althouse College
  • Rear North Lot - Perimeter Green - Green, Grey or Orange permits - 24 hrs/day - 7 days/week
  • South Lot - (south entrance) - Perimeter Grey - Grey or Orange permits only, Green permits are allowed access after 4:00pm until 7:00am - Monday-Friday.
  • Visitor Parking: Mon - Fri, 4pm - 7am (Staff lot) and weekends for $5/coin entry, Pay & Display meters are located in the front of the building for short term visits ($1.50/per half hour, minimum $3.00 credit card)

  • 4. Springett:

  • Location: west side of Western Road, near Huron College food court
  • Visitor Parking: Mon - Fri, 4pm - 7am for $6 coin entry.
  • Complimentary weekend parking available in this lot from Friday at 5 PM until Monday morning at 7 AM

  • 5. Alumni / Thompson:

  • Location: off Lambton Drive, near Alumni Hall and Thompson Arena
  • Visitor Parking: all year, Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 4:00pm weekdays- $12.00 cash deposit upon arrival- utilized at $1.50/per half hour, 4:00pm - 8:00pm daily- $6.00 flate rate, 8:00pm - 7:00am Complimentary parking when unattended. Weekends and Holidays: Complimentary parking when unattended

  • 6. Elborn:

  • Location: west side of Western Road, north of Sarnia Road, near Elborn College
  • Visitor Parking: Mon - Fri, 4pm - 7am
  • Weekend Parking: Complimentary Saturday/Sunday/Stat Holidays.
  • Meter Parking: Located in the front of the building for short term visits ($1.50/per half hour)

  • 7. Huron College:

  • Location: off Western Road, north of Lambton Drive
  • Visitor Parking: Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm weekdays- $10.00 Daily Rate, 4pm-7am Complimentary Parking, Metered Parking $1.50/per half hour

  • 8. Talbot:

  • Location: intersection of University Drive and Lambton Drive, across from Talbot College
  • Visitor Parking: Mon - Fri, 4pm - 7am and weekends for $6/coin entry.
  • Visitor Pay Station is located in the south part of this lot Rate: $3.00 per hour- 24 hours a day- 7 days a week, Credit Card minimum $3.00, Cash minimum $1.50.

  • 9. Medway:

  • Location: north of University Drive, across from Sydenham Hall
  • Visitor Parking: Monday - Friday - 4pm - 7 am Monday - Friday - $622351.00 coin entry
  • Complimentary weekend parking available in this lot from Friday at 5 PM until Monday morning at 7 AM
  • Meter Parking: Located in front of the residences for short term visits ($1.50/per half hour)
