Poulin, a fourth-year Social Sciences student, put together an impressive two-day performance for the No. 6 CIS-ranked Western Mustangs (15-1) on a weekend where he was recognized as a graduating player on Seniors Day. In Western’s final regular season home game, a 3-0 sweep of York on Sunday, Poulin led the Mustangs with 13 points (12 kills, one ace) en route to the team’s 11th sweep of the year and an OUA playoff berth.
That came a day after the Western men earned their 10th sweep in a 3-0 win over No. 9 McMaster (12-3). Poulin (Winnipeg, MB) was the leader in Saturday’s match as well, tallying 12 kills, three service aces and two solo blocks to help keep the Mustangs firmly in first-place in the OUA.
