Leddy, a fourth-year Social Sciences student, was the leader in a pair of key wins last week for the streaking Western Mustangs (9-9), who have won four out of their last five and have moved into a three-way tie for fourth place in the OUA West division. During Saturday’s (Feb. 4) 75-69 win over the Brock Badgers, Leddy (London, Ont.) scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting to go along with six rebounds. Last Wednesday (Feb. 1), the 6-foot forward had a team-high 15 points (5-of-6 shooting) and five rebounds in a 73-50 win over the Guelph Gryphons.
For the two games, Leddy combined for 38 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of steals, while going 10-for-11 from the free-throw line. The senior forward, who ranks third in scoring on the Mustangs at 10.2 ppg, is the current OUA leader in field-goal percentage with an impressive 60.9% mark in 18 games this season. She also leads the Western women with 5.8 rebounds per game on the year.
