Panahi, a first-year social sciences student, was a key factor in Western’s 3-2 shootout victory against Windsor on Sunday. The Coquitlam, BC, native scored both the first and last goals for Western on Sunday, tying the game midway through the first period before scoring the shootout winner to give the Mustangs their ninth win of the season.
“Natasha Panahi is a coach’s dream,” said head coach Chris Higgins. “She comes to play every day, she wants to learn and get better. Her shootout goal on Sunday was a highlight reel special.”
