Leitch, a fourth-year arts and humanities student, took first place in the 600m at the Don Wright Team Challenge this past weekend at Thompson Arena. Leitch’s time of 1.19.63 fell just shy of breaking the meet and arena record, but is Leitch’s fastest ever season opening time. Saturday’s time also ranks the London native in first place in the CIS in the 600m.
“Scott ran strong leading from start to finish, and he demonstrated why he is one of the best in the CIS. He has also been an exceptional role model to teammates Matt Muldoon and Triphon Moodie and will continue to help bring the best out of them,” said head coach Vickie Croley.
