Thomson, a fourth-year Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS) student, broke Jessica Zelinka’s 12-year-old Western record in the 300m running a time of 39.06 seconds to take second place at the 18th Annual McGill Team Challenge. Thomson also set another Mustangs record, running the fastest ever opening leg of the 4 X 200m in 24.3 seconds, helping the team take first place in the event.

“Brenna has always been one of our strongest sprinters but she has stepped into a new league this year,” said head coach Vickie Croley. “The fact that she is managing to stay healthy is helping her to better and more consistent performances. She is now a confident sprinter who will continue to improve as the season goes on.”
