Sproule, a first-year Social Sciences student, helped the Mustangs to win their fifth straight OUA Swimming Championship this past weekend in Toronto. The Calgary native had an excellent weekend, winning six medals, including three gold, and helped set new OUA records in 400m Freestyle Relay and 800m Freestyle Relay. Along with the Mustangs OUA title and her six medals, Sproule was also named the OUA Rookie of the Year.
“Great first OUA Championship for Emma," said head coach Paul Midgley. "She is definitely someone we can build the team around as we focus on moving up at the CIS level.”
