Tierney, a second year King’s College student, stroked the Mustangs lightweight men’s eight to an upset victory over Brock at the Head of the Welland Five Bridges Classic Regatta this past weekend. The Waterloo native helped Western finish 0.5 seconds ahead of the Badgers in the 18-minute race.
 
“Kieran was a huge part in helping us defeat Brock today,” said Western head coach Volker Nolte. “We were of course very happy with Kieran’s performance, setting a very good rhythm and pace of our boat.”
