Halko, a first-year Graduate Studies student from Uxbridge, Ontario, won gold in both the lightweight women’s four and lightweight women’s eight to help the Mustangs win their 22nd OUA Women’s Rowing Championship.
“Jaclyn Halko is a seasoned rower who came back to pursue a master’s degree at Western after rowing on the top international level, winning a gold medal at the 2012 World Championships in the lightweight women’s quad,” said Nolte. “She is a wonderful team player, technically gifted and a tremendous racer. Jaclyn stroked the lightweight women’s four and eight to decisive victories at the OUA Championships, laying the groundwork for the championship.
