Kowalchuk, a fourth-year Kinesiology student, helped the Western women’s team to a third place finish at the McGill Team Challenge while taking gold in the pentathlon. From Regina, Kowalchuk earned 3,392 total points in the event including taking first place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.80 seconds and in the long jump with a 5.30m attempt.
