May, a fourth-year Social Sciences student, led the Mustangs men’s volleyball team to a pair of straight sets victories over the weekend, defeating York and Nipissing in Western’s final two home games of the regular season. Despite battling illness, May led the purple and white offence on the weekend, racking up 30 points on 25 kills, while adding four service aces, 10 digs, and two blocks. It’s the second time this season that the Toronto native has earned Mustangs Athlete of the Week honours, also receiving the award back on November 4.
