Western Mustangs Sports

Rachael Jacques, a second-year Brescia College student from Barrie, Ont., helped lead the Mustangs to a silver medal at the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association National Championship this past weekend. Appearing in all five of Western’s games as a pitcher she went 3-1 in her four starts posting a 1.88 earned run average in 29.2 innings pitched. Allowing only 19 hits and 10 walks in that span, Jacques also struck out 30 batters over the course of the weekend and was named the tournament’s Top Pitcher.
