Paulina Bond, a fourth-year Sciences student from Toronto, helped Western finish in second place in the women’s team competition at the OUA Swimming Championship. Bond was a frequent visitor to the podium throughout the three day event, winning three gold and three silver medals. She broke two OUA records at the championship, first in the 50m freestyle with a time of 25.26 seconds, and then in the 50m butterfly in 26.78, and was also presented with a Graduating Athlete Award of Distinction.
