Jack Sheffar, a Social Sciences student from London, took second place at the Western International on Saturday, helping the Mustangs men’s team claim the top spot for only the third time since the meet moved to the Thames Valley course in 1986. Sheffar’s time of 24:47 set a new Western 8km record for both the Western International and all other meets held at Thames Valley, eclipsing the mark of 25:19 set by Chris Balestrini just last year.
