Chris Merchant, a Medical Sciences student from Calgary, led the Mustangs to a 45-26 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks that moved Western into sole possession of first place in the OUA. Merchant completed 21 of 29 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns in the win, and now sits second in the OUA with 12 touchdown passes on the year.
