Experience

  • Former Mustang player, assistant coach, and currently the longest-serving Men’s Basketball Head Coach in Western University history
  • Over 34 years with the Mustangs, starting as a player in 1991–92
  • Joined from Nepean High School (Ottawa) and immediately made an impact, averaging 16.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and shooting 38% from 3PT as a rookie.
  • Set the program's rookie single-game scoring record with 36 points vs. Lakehead of February 8, 1992
  • After a knee injury limited his playing career, he transitioned to coaching in 1995–96
  • Across four seasons as a player, he averaged 12.0 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 36.9% from 3PT

As Assistant Coach (1995–2006)

  • Served as lead assistant and defensive coordinator for nine seasons.
  • Helped guide Western to:
    • 3 OUA West Championships (1999, 2001, 2002)
    • 3 OUA Championships (1999, 2001, 2002)
    • 4 CIAU Final 8 National Championship appearances (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002)

As Head Coach (2006–Present)

  • Holds 2nd-most wins in program history with 326, just behind Craig Boydell (327)
  • Earned his 300th win on January 20, 2024, in a victory over Laurentian
  •  Led Mustangs to: 5 OUA West titles (2008, 2009, 2020, 2024, 2025) & 3 U SPORTS Final 8 National Championship appearances (2008, 2009, 2020) — finished in the Final 4 all three times
  • Named OUA West Coach of the Year in 2009
  • Known for developing some of the nation’s top offenses in recent seasons:
    • 2024–25: 84.5 ppg (2nd in OUA)
    • 2023–24: 90.5 ppg (1st in OUA)
    • 2022–23: 89.0 ppg (1st in OUA)
  • Recognized for ball movement, offensive efficiency, and 3-point shooting
