LONDON, Ont. – The Western Mustangs men’s hockey team plays host to the Université du Québec à Trois Rivières (UQTR) for a crucial game for both teams on Fri. Nov. 13 at Thompson Arena.

The Mustangs are ranked first in the OUA West Division, while UQTR is ranked first in the OUA East Division. UQTR (8-0-0) is been ranked No. 3 in the Top 10 teams in the CIS, while the Mustangs (7-2-0) also moved into the CIS Top 10 at No. 7 this week.

Western enters Friday night's game with a seven-game winning streak, while UQTR is currently undefeated with a record of 8-0-0 and 16 points.

The Friday night contest is a critical game for both teams. With a victory in hand, Western would prolong their successful momentum onto an eight game winning streak, handing UQTR their first loss.

The Mustangs also host Concordia (1-8-0) on Sat. Nov. 14 with the potential to earn another two points and increase their first place ranking in the Western division.
