Defence solid in sweep for Mustangs over Paladins

Nov. 15: Western 3 RMC 0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-8)

LONDON, Ont. – The Mustangs swept the RMC Paladins, 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-8), on Nov. 15 at Alumni Hall.

Veterans Mathieu Poulin (Winnipeg, Man.) and Reid Halpenny (Exeter, Ont.) played in all three games and had the top scores for the Mustangs.  Poulin registered 10 points (10 kills and nine digs) and Halpenny had eight points (eight kills and three digs).

The other starters took a rest in the third set, giving a number of rookies a chance to see the floor.

Alan Screaton (Calgary, Alta.) recorded two points for a couple of kills and three digs, and Ryan Wilson (London, Ont.) had a point, including the game-winning kill.

After spending the weekend at home, the Mustangs play an away game against Windsor on Nov. 22 at 4:00 p.m.
