OTTAWA – The Western Mustangs extended their winning streak to 11 games after a 5-1 defeat over the Carleton Ravens Nov. 21.

With the win, Western remains in first place team in the OUA.

Mustang goals were claimed by Chris Corbeil (Oakville, Ont.), Geoff Killing (Embro, Ont.), Kevin Baker (Georgetown, Ont.), Joe McCann (Essex, Ont.) and Jason Swit (Mississauga, Ont.). The only Ravens goal was scored by Brandon McLean.

Western’s powerplay struggled going 0/7. However, the Mustangs penalty kill was at its peak as they held the Ravens scoreless on seven opportunities.

Goaltender Keyvan Hunt (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) turned aside 21 shots for the win.

The Mustangs will travel to Wilfrid Laurier for a tough in-division contest on Thursday Nov. 26 and then play another rival on Saturday Nov. 28 against Waterloo.
