Western hit eight three-pointers in the opening half and led 47-29 at the break.
Andrew Wedemire (Sarnia, Ont.) led Western with 24 points, three steals and eight rebounds, while David Harder (Copenhagen, Denmark) had 10 rebounds and eight points for the Mustangs.
Guard Ryan Barbeau (Belleville, Ont.) had 14 assists along with nine points, while Garrett Olexiuk (Burlington, Ont.) had 11 points and five boards in just 14 minutes of play in the first half. He was injured and cut and had to leave the game after being struck in the face and required stitches. He is expected to return for the trip to the nation's capital to face Ottawa (Nov. 13, 8 p.m.) and Carleton (Nov. 15, 3 p.m.)
Western's next home game is on Friday Nov. 20 against the Royal Military College Paladins at 8 p.m. at Alumni Hall.
