The Western Mustangs finished the regular season in second place in the OUA winning two of their three games this weekend.
Lauren Crape had three goals as Western jumped out to an early 6-1 lead at half against Toronto. Emmi Morris would add two goals as the Mustangs and goalie Cait Mancuso withstood a Toronto run to win 10-8.
The Mustangs faced an early five goal deficit against Laurier before rattling off four goals to make it 5-4 at the half. Laurier scored the game-winning goal with 1 second left to win 9-8 as Crape had two goals and Morris had two goals and two assists.
Western showed their offensive prowess against UOIT winning 19-8. Kristen Stafford netted 5 goals, with Nicole Pullen and Alyssa Childs adding four apiece.
The Mustangs will host the OUA Championships Oct. 29-30. Western will face UOIT in their first game at 10 a.m. on Oct. 29 at Citywide Field in London, Ont.
