LONDON, Ont. - The Western Mustangs will put their perfect 2-0 home record on the line against the Waterloo Warriors on Friday night. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Arena.
The Mustangs currently sit in first place in the OUA with a 5-0-1 record. The Mustangs have been stingy on defence and have received good goaltending from Anthony Greico who has one shutout and has only allowed 12 goals in 6 games.
Josh Unice got his first start of the season Wednesday night and continued the strong goaltending play. Unice made 28 saves for the Mustangs getting the shootout win 3-2 against the Brock Badgers. Aaron Snow and Adam Mckee scored the two goals in regulation for Western.
Western has received contributions from all their forward lines with Snow now with four goals and Jason Furlong, Kyle Lamb and Keaton Turkiewicz all having three goals. Snow and Kevin Baker have each added five assists.
