Team play leads Mustangs to eighth straight win in 5-2 victory

TORONTO - Junior Aaron Snow scored two goals lifting the Western Mustangs men's hockey team to a 5-2 victory over the York Lions Thursday night for their eight straight win.

Remaining Western goals were scored by Yashar Farmanara, Scott Aarssen and Steve Reese. Farmanara and Aarssen both earned two assists and Reese earned one. Lions goals were scored by Matt Thomson and Chad Hohmann.

Solid goaltending by Josh Unice helped to hold the Lions off as Unice made 32 saves. Western's powerplay was also effective, scoring twice on seven chances.

The Mustangs (9-0-1) play host to the Guelph Gryphons (5-4-0) on Nov. 12. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
