Hot-shooting Blues defeat Mustangs

Nov. 13: Toronto 92 Western 64

LONDON, Ont. - Alex Hill scored 25 points and Drazen Glisic added a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds, as the Toronto Varsity Blues played spoiler beating Western 92-64 at Alumni Hall Saturday night.

Justin Holmes and substitute Arun Kumar added 14 points each for Toronto.

Four Mustangs were in double-digit scoring, led by substitute guard Brett Lawrence who tallied 13 points.

Marcus Barnett and Andy Wedemire had 12 points each, with Wedemire adding 10 boards, while Ryan Barbeau added 10 points and five assists.

Toronto shot a red-hot 55 per cent, including a 47 per cent showing from beyond the arc.

The Blues also scored 33 points off Western turnovers and led from start to finish.

Western (2-2) hosts Carleton on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. and Ottawa on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Alumni Hall, and then travels to face the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins Nov. 26 and 27 in Kingston, Ont.
