Ulrich, Seedhouse help Mustangs earn weekend split

The Mustangs scored three goals in the third period to fight back against UOIT before succumbing 4-3 on Dec. 3 in Oshawa, Ont. 

Western took that momentum into the next game as they won 3-2 in a shootout against Queen's. 

Scoring for the Mustangs against UOIT was Michelle Saunders, Chantal Morais and Ellie Seedhouse. Jessica Ulrich made 23 saves in net for Western.

Katie Dillon and Carly Rolph scored the two goals in regulation for the Mustangs against Queen's while Ulrich was stellar in net with 45 saves. Ulrich stopped all five shots in the shootout and Seedhouse netted the winning goal.

The Mustangs are now 4-11-1 on the season. They resume play in the new year as they host Windsor on Jan. 8 at 4 p.m. at Thompson Arena.
