OSHAWA, Ont. - Scott Aarssen (London, ON) scored the shooutout game-winning goal in Western's 3-2 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Feb. 12 in the Mustangs final regular season away game.

Western's regulation goals were earned by Kevin Baker (Georgetown, ON)and Aaron Snow (Windsor, ON). Ridgebacks' two goals were scored by Nathan Spaling and Josh Vatri. 

Both clubs played a clean game, each team counting for two infractions. Western went 1/2 on the powerplay, with a goal from the sensational sophmore line, while holding UOIT scoreless on the man-advantage.

Keyvan Hunt (Coquitlam, BC) netted 65 minutes of solid play, turning aside 39 shots for the win. The Ridgebacks outshot Western 41-32, however Hunt stood tall to ensure the team's success.

Keaton Turkiewicz (Brantford, ON) also notched a shootout goal, sealing the win after the first two Ridgeback players were robbed by Hunt. 

Western plays host to Laurier University on Feb. 13 at Thompson Arena for a final regular season game at 7:30 p.m. The battle for playoff positions continues and Western is set to host the first game of an OUA West Division Quarter-Final on either Wed.
