THUNDER BAY, Ont. - With a playoff spot already secured and little on the line, the Western Mustangs closed out their 12-10 2009-2010 season with an 89-65 loss to Lakehead Feb. 20 to finish the regular season in fourth place in the OUA's West division.

Garrett Olexiuk (Burlington, Ont.) led the Western Mustangs in scoring with 15 points.

The Mustangs made a point of resting a number of starters in preparation for their playoff match Wednesday night Feb. 24 at Alumni Hall when they take on the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks at 7 p.m. Western won both regular season games between the two teams. Click here to order tickets.
