Lost doubles-point costs men's tennis team victory

Sept. 25: Waterloo 4 Western 3

LONDON, Ont. - The Western Mustangs men's tennis team hosted the Waterloo Warriors in OUA action at the Western Tennis Centre on Sunday, Sept. 26. The Mustangs were narrowly edged 4-3 by the Warriors.

Dylan Crimmins and Taylor Horne were the lone succesful doubles team to win their match as the pairs of Robert Vincent and Maximillian Besworth and Thomas Hunter and Thomas Young dropped their matches.

In singles action Young and Besworth bounced back to win their matches and Daniel Andrade was the other succesful Mustangs player. With Vincent, Horne, and Brett Empringham losing their matches to make it 3-3 in singles play, Waterloo edged out the Mustangs with their 2-1 victory in doubles action.

Western will host the OUA team finals at the Western Tennis Centre on October 15 and 16.
