LONDON, Ont. – The Western Mustangs easily defeated the RMC Paladins in three straight sets tonight.
Coming off a loss to McMaster last weekend, the Mustangs dominated from the first set. Western won by set scores of 25-14, 25-10 and 25-12.
Garrett May (Toronto, Ont.) led the Mustangs with 12 kills, seven of which were in the first set. Matt Waite (St. Thomas, Ont.) contributed 4 aces and 3 kills.
The win puts the Mustangs at 13-1 on the season. They are currently ranked No. 1 in the OUA and No. 6 in the CIS.
Players of the game were Reid Halpenny (Exeter, Ont.) for Western and right-side Sean Vanthournout of RMC.
Western will face Queen’s tomorrow night as part of the White Out Event. Fans wearing white will be given free admission. Game time is 8 p.m.
