WINDSOR, Ont. - Western’s powerplay unit dominates in 3-1 victory over the Windsor Lancers on Jan. 29.

Josh McQuade (Grimsby, Ont.), Matt Paltridge (Tecumseh, Ont.) andKyle Lamb (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) scored for the Mustangs while Brett Oliphant notched the only goal for Windsor.

Western’s goaltender Josh Unice (Holland, Ohio) made 43 saves for the victory and the Mustangs scored all three of their goals on the powerplay.

With the win, Western pulls ahead as the first place team in the OUA West Division with a nine point lead over second place Laurier and 12 points past third place Lakehead.

The two teams will battle in a rematch next weekend on Fri. Feb. 4. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Arena.
