The purple clock is ticking down to kickoff!

In just over two weeks, your Western Mustangs will gallop into TD Waterhouse to begin their stampede to the Yates Cup. The Mustangs are looking to defend their Yates Cup title for the second consecutive season. The Mustangs have returned home as champs from four of the last five finals.

Hopes are high for the 2011 team to make their way to the Vanier Cup finals hosted in Vancouver, B.C. Last year’s season opener saw the Mustangs devastate the Laurier Golden Hawks 46-1 in front of a sold out crowd on Sept. 1.

On Monday, Sept. 5, be among the 11,000+ in attendance to witness the nation’s #1 recruiting class in action for the first time against the Waterloo Warriors. #Donnie Marshall# will be making his appearance as starting quarterback for the second straight year. Rookie and Cambridge, Ont. native #Tyler Varga# will also be making his debut with the Mustangs.

The home opener will also give the Mustangs a chance to thank local police, fire and emergency, and medical services personnel for helping to make London the great city it is.
