WINDSOR, Ont. – The No. 2 CIS-ranked Windsor Lancers dominated from the second quarter onward Saturday night, cruising to an 84-55 win in their OUA Quarter-Final matchup against the visiting Western Mustangs at the St. Denis Centre.

The Mustangs played the Lancers tough in the first quarter, but the Windsor women ran away in the second, outscoring Western 20-8 in the period to take a 41-28 lead at halftime. And it was much of the same in the second half for the Lancers, who eliminated the Mustangs from the playoffs with the win. The Windsor women, meanwhile, will now advance to an OUA Semi-Final matchup.
Bojana Kovacevic led the Lancers with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including a trio of three-pointers to go along with nine rebounds. Miah-marie Langlois had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, while Jessica Clemencon finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
Lacey Knox was the Mustangs’ top scorer with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
Katelyn Leddy had 10 points and six rebounds, while
Laura Dally also finished with 10 points.
The Lancers shot 46.5% (33-for-71) on the night, while the Mustangs were 38.5% (20-for-52). Western struggled to go just 2-for-17 from three-point range. The Lancers also outrebounded the Mustangs 47-27 overall, including 21-8 on the offensive glass.
