LONDON, Ont. - The Mustangs women's hockey team continues regular season play at home this weekend as they host York at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and UOIT at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Thompson Arena. The Mustangs enter this week's action tied for the top spot in the OUA and with two regular season wins already under their belts after last week's 2-0 win over Laurier and 3-2 overtime victory against Waterloo.
Western goalie Kelly Campbell has posted a strong showing so far this season, recording a shutout against Laurier and registering 59 saves in two games. The Mustangs have scored five goals this season while only allowing two goals against. Leading the scoring for Western are forwards Ally Galloway, Marlowe Pecora, and Megan Taylor who have each recorded one goal and one assist after two games.

The York Lions are 1-0 this season after defeating the Ryerson Rams 5-2 last week. York's Lisa Stathopulos is among the OUA's top scorers early on this year, posting one goal and two assists in the Lion's season-opener for three points after just one game. Fellow forwards Andrea Joyce and Sarai Whitty posted two goals each in the game against Ryerson to join Stathopulos on the score sheet in the Lion's 5-2 victory.
UOIT Ridgebacks – Sunday, October 13 – 4:00 p.m. - Watch Live on Mustangs TV
The UOIT Ridgebacks boast two wins so far this season, sitting in first-place alongside Western and Guelph after defeating both Toronto and Queen's by a score of 2-1. Samantha Forchielli and Jill Morillo are UOIT's top scorers with one goal and one assist each so far this season. Morillo also lead the team in scoring last year, recording 18 points from nine goals and nine assists in the 2012-2013 season.Â
