After splitting their last two games against Brock and Guelph, the Mustangs will look to start a winning streak when they return home to Thompson Arena this weekend to take on the Queen's Gaels (8-0-3) on Sunday.
Western put their scoring woes behind them last week as they registered eight goals in their latest two games after only managing one over the previous two. Influential in the turnaround was the play of defenceman
Michelle Saunders, who notched two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over Brock before adding two goals in Sunday's loss to Guelph.
Casey Rosen and
Marlowe Pecora also had big weekends as they both registered three points in two games. Rosen had two goals and an assist with both goals coming in against Brock while Pecora notched two helpers against the Badgers before contributing a goal on Sunday.

The Queen's University hockey program has had a terrific start to the 2013 season as both their women's and men's hockey teams stand as the only teams undefeated in regulation in their respective leagues. This early-season success is nothing new for the women's program as they are the defending OUA champions and have compiled an impressive regular season record of 68-26-12 over the last four seasons.
Fourth-year forward Shawna Griffin has been on fire for the Gael's this season, registering a team-leading 17 points in only 11 games. Not only is she three points away from tying her career high of 20 points, she's also on pace to do it in 14 less games.
In net, the Golden Gaels are led by Caitlyn Lahonen and Mel Dodd-Moher, who currently sit second and third in the OUA in goals against average, respectively. Lahonen, who is in her first year of eligibility, also has a league leading .948 save percentage while Dodd-Moher sits second in the league in wins and has the highest save percentage and goals against average among goalies who have played nine games or more.
Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Thompson Arena.
