Mustangs set to face Brock and McMaster at home

The Mustangs are on a seven-game win streak with a record of 7-1 on the season as they prepare to match up against the Brock Badgers and the McMaster Marauders at home this week. After an undefeated weekend at home against Laurentian and Algoma the Mustangs are now tied for first in the OUA West division with Windsor and will be looking to defend their top spot heading into this week's matchups.

The Mustangs have four players in the top 20 on the OUA scoring leaderboard, with Jenny Vaughan leading the league with 22.9 points per game (PPG) and Kelsey Wright and Melissa Rondinelli and Katelyn Leddy at 18, 19 and 20, respectively.

The Mustangs' defensive effort must not go unnoticed as they showcased their abilities against Algoma, holding the Thunderbirds to 38 points and 21% in shooting last Sunday to win by a margin of 40 points.

The Brock Badgers are currently ranked fifth in the OUA West division with a record of 5-3 on the season. They will be looking to add another win against the Mustangs on Wednesday night, and the Western squad will have to watch out for the Badgers' defence as they have held their opponents to 29% from the field this season. The Badgers' top scorer is Nicole Rosenkranz with 16.4 PPG and a 50% shooting average.

Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Alumni Hall.

The McMaster Marauders hold a record of 6-2 which places them in fourth place in the OUA West division. The Marauders' defence has given them 16 turnovers and 11 steals per game and the team is led in scoring by Hailey Milligan who is currently second on the leaderboard with 19.9 PPG and a 54% shooting average.

Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Alumni Hall.
