Looking to extend their three match winning streak in their home opener, the Mustangs will take on the Waterloo Warriors on October 31 at Alumni Hall, followed by another home game against Guelph scheduled for November 1.
Â
Over the last three games the Mustangs have proven their dedication and desire to win, overcoming point deficits and focusing on strong attacks to win the previous three matches against McMaster (3-2), RMC (3-0), and Queen's (3-0).
Â
Justin Scapinello, a fifth year Kings College student, has led the way for Mustangs as he tops the purple and white score sheet in total kills and kills per set, total service aces and service aces per set, total digs, and total points; currently sitting at 56.
Â
Scapinello is tied for fourth in the CIS in kills per set, while first year middle
Scott Langley sits in second in the CIS for digs per set.

Western vs. Waterloo - Friday, October 31 at 8:00pmÂ
Currently sitting at a 2-1 record, the Waterloo Warriors look to Friday's games to improve their record.
Â
Last season Western and Waterloo proved to be closely matched, with the Mustangs barely edging the Warriors out 3-2 in both regular season games before eliminating the Warriors in straight sets in the OUA Semi-Finals.
Â
With four new faces added to the team, Waterloo's team seems to have gotten even stronger as first year setter Nikola Dimitrijevic currently ranks third in the CIS in assists per set, while second year Braden Cok sits comfortably in second place within the CIS in attack percentage.
Â
Western vs. Guelph – Saturday, November 1 at 8:00pmÂ
The six new players added to Guelph's roster have proved to revitalize the team as they look set to surpass last season's 5-15 record with two wins and only one loss currently under their belt.
Â
Returning player Patrick Strzalkowski currently leads to team in total kills and kills per set, total digs, and total points, while rookie Zachary Newman ties Strzalkowski in service aces, and aces per set.Â
