Preview: Western looks to start new winning streak against Windsor

After taking a thrilling five set win over Waterloo on Friday night the Mustangs had their four game winning streak snapped with a loss against Guelph on November 1, and the purple and white will be looking for some redemption this week as they prepare for a match against the Windsor Lancers.

With 117.5 total points, averaging 5.9 per set, Justin Scapinello continues to lead the Mustangs in total kills, kills per set, service aces, service aces per set, and digs. In addition to topping the Mustangs score sheet, he ranks fourth in CIS in total kills, and total points, while coming in second in both kills per set and points per set.

As a team, the Mustangs average 13.15 kills per set, with an attack percentage of .302.

The Lancers look to the match to end their two game losing streak following consecutive five set losses against Guelph and Waterloo. Currently standing at a record of 2-3, Windsor averages 11.64 kills per set, with an average attack percentage of .215.

Gabreil Burlacu currently leads the Lancers in total points with 78, averaging 3.5 per set. The 6'6" outside hitter also tops the Lancers in both blocks and total kills, recording 18 and 52 respectively.

Game time is set for 8:00pm, at Windsor's St. Denis Centre.
