PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The women's lacrosse team once again completed another weekend of their OUA schedule with an undefeated record, earning victories on the road against Trent University and York University.

Outscoring their oponents a total of 40-3, the purple and white extended their winning record to 4-0, giving them the only perfect record in the OUA West Division and tying them with their East Division rivals, the Varsity Blues, atop the OUA standings.

The Mustangs were unstoppable in their first game Sunday morning versus the Trent Excalibur, defeating them 17-3. Lauren Stewart racked up five points (4g, 1a), Tenyka Snider added four (3g, 1a), and Megan Wilkins finished with a hat trick. The purple and white opened the game strong, finishing the first half with an imposing 11-1 lead on the Excalibur.

Later that afternoon, the Mustangs sent the Lions back to their den in an impressive 23-0 defeat against York. Coming up big for the purple and white was veteran and power midfielder Michelle Farrugia with four goals and an assist, as well as Fonthill, Ontario native Hayley Liske with three goals and an assist. Stephanie Orlando also had three goals while Heather Pearson had two goals and two assists. Western saw a total of 13 players contribute to the victory.

The Mustangs will be back in action this Saturday with back-to-back games against McMaster at 11 a.m. and Guelph at 4:45 p.m. The purple and white will also travel to Toronto on Sunday, taking on Queen's at 11:30 a.m. before fighting for first place in OUA standings against Toronto at 3 p.m.
