Mustangs show strong performances in Sarnia and Williamstown

| By:
WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. – The Mustangs hit the road this weekend to take on Cornell and Williams College for some tough tournament action.

The purple and white took down Williams College in eight games to one, and with strong performances across the board for the team. Cornell proved to be a challenge, but the Mustangs came out dominate, taking down the team six games to three. Stand out performances from the day were seen from Gavin Maxwell and David Mill.

Maxwell dominated the T and played an aggressive pace from the beginning of his first match, to the last point of the tournament, taking the win against Cornell's eighth seed.

Mill had a physically and mentally exhausting game against Cornell's strongest left-handed player and their number one seed. Mill took the win in the first two games, but his opponent battled back in the next two to tie the match. Mill continued play aggressively and took the win against Cornell's first seed, which proved to be a stand out match of his season.

On the women's side, the Mustangs travelled to Sarnia this past week to compete in the Simon Warder 6th Memorial Prostate Cancer Squash Tournament. Lisette Royan, Amy Commisso, Elizabeth Tkachuk, Christianne Morrison, and Robyn Lewis participated on behalf of the purple and white through division A to division C.

The women's team will be back in action this Saturday, December 2, at the Jester's Western Sectional at the London Squash and Fitness Club, while the men's team restart play after the winter break in January in St. Catherine's.
