In the 89th minute of the game, Reese Fowler was able to put a second goal onto the board with a long shot from the far side of the pitch with a curved ball that found the back of Waterloo's net.

The Warriors were unable to find any scoring opportunities in the rest of the game and so the game ended with 2-0 to Western and Reese Fowler scoring both.

After the game, Head Coach Martin Painter explained that coming into this game against Waterloo their aim was to "try to build off the momentum we had the last couple games. Every team in this division is tough, we don't get any easy games and Waterloo was very good today. It was a very tough game for us, we had to battle. So, we expected a tough game and that's what we got. Fortunately, we did enough to get the win."

On Reese Fowler's performance after scoring both goals for the Mustangs this evening, Coach Painter noted that "Reese had a great game, little bit of a slow start then she got into the game, got some rhythm. The game opened up a little bit, she had more space and obviously it's a great goal. I mean, she scored both – one was a penalty shot, good finish but the second goal was just a fantastic finish, delivered a lot of dangerous crosses, was really good defensively. She's just a great player and she's continuing to grow."

The Mustangs will take on the Warriors again this Sunday in Waterloo at 2pm.
