London, ON - The Western Mustangs Athletes of the Week powered by Under Armour for the week ending January 21, 2024 are Shona Branton from Swimming & Treye Trotman from Wrestling.

Branton set a new Western record by swimming a final time of 1:05.70 in the 100m breaststroke in the Mustangs Dual Meet with the University of Toronto.

Trotman took the gold medal in the 57kg division at the Guelph Open this weekend. He had a 3-0 record with 2 wins coming by technical superiority 10-0 and 11-1 and one win by pin. Trotman is currently the #1 ranked wrestler in U SPORTS.
