Box Score Brock, ON - The Badgers took the game, 1-0, in overtime, against the Mustangs.
The second last overall game in the Mustang's regular season was an away game in Brock. The Mustangs not only faced off against them on Friday, but will be facing off against them Saturday night as well.
The Mustangs started this game off with intense forechecking, not letting the Badgers breathe in their own zone. The Mustangs were clearly dominating the play against the home team, the Badger.
Halfway through the first, neither team had opened the scoring, but the Mustangs created several chances to score, putting the Badgers on their heels. Furthermore, there have been no shots on net from the Brock Badgers on Mustangs goalie, Ella Brabrook.
The Mustangs continued to put intense pressure on the Badgers but could not get the puck past Badgers goalie, Kenzie Harmison.
The first period ends with a score of 0-0.
The second twenty minutes saw much similar action of the first period; with no scoring follow through on the many opportunities that were created. The Badgers were generating more chances as the shots were pretty equal. With 10 minutes left in the period, the score still remained 0-0, with back and forth action being seen as the Badgers were fighting against the Mustangs.
The second period ends as the score is still 0-0, proving that this game will definitely be a low scoring game.
With only twenty minutes left in the game, it had become a race as to who can score first. Halfway through the period, the game still saw a score of 0-0, although, the shots on goal dramatically in favour of the Mustangs.
The game ends with a score of 0-0, and the teams headed into overtime.
Overtime ended within a minute and a half as the Badgers took the game.
