Box Score Brock, ON - The Mustangs took the victory against the Badgers in overtime, 1-0.
Last night, the Mustangs fell to the Brock Badgers in overtime, 1-0. Tonight, they wanted to come back for revenge.
Halfway through the first period, the score remained 0-0 after an action packed 10 minutes. This first period was almost identical to the first period from Friday's game, with great back and forth action. These teams are clearly very well matched as the first period ended 0-0.
The second period is very similar to the first period. 10 minutes had passed with neither the Mustangs nor the Badgers opening the scoring. The Mustangs were definitely dominating the plays as the shots on goal were 22 to 9, in favour of the Mustangs, although they could not capitalize on any of shots.
The period ends and the score remained 0-0, much like we saw between these two teams yesterday.
That left 20 minutes for either the Mustangs and the Badgers to open the scoring of the game before overtime was a possibility. Overtime was becoming a real possibility as halfway through the period there was still no score.
These is a common theme with these teams, low scoring and overtime always being a possibility. Both teams were finding it difficult to get any pucks past the goalies considering shots on goal were now 34-23, still in favour of the Mustangs.
Similar to how yesterdays game went between these two teams, the game headed into overtime.

This was the last game that the Mustangs will play in the regular season, and they ended it on a great note.
