Toronto, ON – The Mustangs season came to an end Wednesday night after a 66-54 loss to the TMU Bold in the first round of the OUA playoffs.

The Mustangs got out to an early lead opening up a 7-2 lead in the first two minutes of play and kept the lead through the first 6 minutes of play. The Bold would pressure play later in the frame and end up going on a 13-0 run to end the opening quarter and hold an 18-11 lead.

The Mustangs would push the pace to open the second quarter and pull to within two points of TMU on an Emily Capretta 3-pointer. Both sides would battle back and forth through the remainder of the half with TMU holding a 32-27 lead at half time.

The third quarter saw both sides trade chances and would both score 14 points and the five-point deficit remained at 46-41 through three quarters.

TMU would go on a 9-0 run to open up the fourth quarter to open up a 55-41 lead. The Mustangs would try to cut into the TMU lead but weren't able to find a sustained charge and would fall 66-54.
