London, ON – The 2024 CFL Draft saw a pair of student-athletes from the Mustangs Football program learn the next step in their journey.
Mohsen Jamal was selected 65th overall by the Montreal Alouettes. The receiver had a breakout season in 2023, with 760 total yards and 5 touchdowns.
"I'm extremely grateful Montreal took a chance on me and picked me. I've always loved the Alouettes organization they have a great fan base and are always competing for the grey cup." said Jamal "The city of Montreal is great and is an amazing place for me to start my professional career. I'm excited to get started and can't wait to settle in the city."
Richard Aduboffour was picked shortly after with the 68th overall selection by the Saskatchewan Roughrider. The impact Defensive Back had 23 tackles in 2023, added 2 interceptions and 7 pass breakups for the Mustangs.
I was excited, I cried in my mom's arms." said Abuboffour of getting drafted "I hear Saskatchewan is a great community for football. I'm just happy they took a chance on me and believed in me as they showed when I interviewed with them,"
Both Jamal & Aduboffour will now head to their respective teams rookie camp in the coming weeks and will look to impress and stay for their teams' main training camps.
