Michael joined the Men's Lacrosse team in 2019 and won the Baggataway Cup National Championship with that team as the starting goalie in his rookie season. He also won the CUFLA Rookie of the Year that season.
This past Fall he book-ended his career at Western with a second National Championship in 2023 and was named the CUFLA Top Graduating Player.
Orlando finishes his Mustangs career with 2 National Championships in 3 full seasons and a partial pandemic-shortened season, with a 5.47 goals-against average to lead all goaltenders in Western Men's Lacrosse history since its inception in 1985. Additionally, in 2023 Orlando back-stopped Western's defence to a CUFLA league record with the lowest goals allowed in its history.
Michael excelled as a top goalie in the CUFLA with the added responsibility of leading our team to a record of 24-5 and a National Championship. He was recognized throughout the league as a star player with numerous game MVP awards and was 3rd place in league MVP voting at the end of his last season.
This season he was named the CUFLA top graduating player. He will be graduating from Huron College this spring with a BA - Governance, Leadership and Ethics.
