WINDSOR, ON -

On Wednesday evening, the Mustangs looked to continue their good habits against the Windsor Lancers.

Both teams fought hard in the first half, pressing each other on defense and sharing the ball on offense. At the end of the first quarter, the Mustangs trailed by 1 point, and tied it up at the end of the first half, 38-38. Kailey Reimer nailed 3 threes on her way to 14 points at the break. Defensively, the Mustangs rebounding kept them in the game, pulling down 17 rebounds to Windsor's 20.

In the third quarter, Windsor's offense dominated the paint, scoring a total 62 of their 76 points under the basket. The Mustangs had few answers for the post work from the Lancers, but offensively they continued to fire from beyond the arc. Jenna Button and Paris Alexander got into double digit scoring figures in the frame helping the Mustangs find ways to score. The Lancers closed out the quarter up 6, 55-49.

Windsor added to their lead early in the fourth, building it up to 12 points. Reimer fought back for the Mustangs, knocking down crucial threes. She finished the night with a team-high 20 points including 5 threes. The Lancers closed out the game 76-63, as Western fell to 11-8 on the season.

The Mustangs are headed back home to London for a rematch against the Lancers at 6PM EST on Saturday, February 8th. Tune in OUA.tv.
